Thank you note

This is the thank you card we are planning to give our guests --

The drawings were done by my good friend Laika and I did the gocco-ing. ^_^

I used brown and red ink -- I love how it turned out! ^_^

This is our wedding missalette -- I used my gocco to print our cover in gold ink. ^_^

My first gocco print

Johann and I wanted some personal touches to the wedding -- and this is one of them. I printed the labels on our souvenir.

The chinese word for love is above the "thank you" -- the pastel green is a bit too light to be picked up by my camera.

I made 275 in one go -- I think it took me 2 hours, stopping twice to re-ink the master.

This is a picture of my set-up:

Tin Tinkers!

I've been meaning to put up this website for a while now. After dabbling with a cross between stenciling and silkscreening, I've discovered that I enjoy creating prints and I like the idea of making notecards and stationery.

I took the plunge about 2 weeks ago and purchased my Print Gocco, which arrived last Friday. I immediately put it to work to print the label for our wedding souvenir (more on this later).

This is what a Gocco looks like. I got mine from Nehoc in Australia.

Why Tinker?

I see this as a casual thing, something I do for fun. (I can't draw to save my life. ^_^)

Plus, I like how it plays with my name -- Tin Inker. Yes, yes, silly reason. ^_^

Why blog about it?

I would really like to share the joy of printing with other people. Believe it or not, the Gocco is a minimal investment that opens the doors to a world of creative possibilities. It is also an affordable way to print plus it gives you the satisfaction of seeing something and knowing that you had a hand at making it.

In the near future, I would like to belong to a mailing list or group called "Pinoy Gocco Printers." ^_^
